Regrettably, this level of unity did not continue forever in the church. They had trouble by chapter 5. Ananias and Sapphira corrupted the unity of the church by their attempted manipulation. By chapter 6 there were cultural tensions and allegations of bias between two groups in the church. It was reflected in a controversy over the food distribution to poor widows. They had full-blown racial tensions by chapter 15 that continued for years as reflected in the epistles.
